This week a drama called ‘Cyber bully’ came out, which is a one-time only show about young teenagers online. The actress, Maisie Williams, plays the main character in this show, and she’s spoken about her own experiences about dealing with cyber bullying while she was at school.

She stars in the famous Game of Thrones, Maisie said that when she got the opportunity to enter into the world of TV, ‘All of a sudden I got this amazing opportunity to go off and do something else, and to everyone else it was just an enormous kick, and I get it, I totally get it.’ Maisie said that she doesn’t blame the girls for acting how they did, as she was lucky enough to do such wonderful things, and she didn’t want to upset them. She didn’t want to ignore the ‘online trolls’ when she was younger, but as she has gotten older she realizes that she shouldn’t care what anonymous people on the Internet say about her. If Maisie Williams could offer any advice to young victims of cyber-bullying, it is just to retire from their social media accounts altogether. She said in her interview with the Huffington post that: ‘If anyone reading this has an account, my first advice is to delete it straight away, because I don’t have time for that anymore.’
So do you agree with Maisie? Should people just switch off their social media accounts?
