Caught your Kids Watching Porn?

Kids Watching Porn

Anyone wondering how the United States economy can continue to thrive despite a struggling manufacturing sector should research the digital market. There are a number of entrepreneurs that are making respectable salaries by running online stores. The Internet is certainly good for a lot of people, but there are a lot of negative aspects as well. The Internet does provide modern children with a way to find information much faster than previous generations. However, today’s children also have a nearly unlimited access to material that should be reserved for adults. What should you do if you catch Kids Watching Porn?

Kids Watching Porn

There was a time when pornographic material was only available as magazines and VHS tapes. The father of the home might have a few magazines and a tape, to watch alone or to use as a marital aid. To prevent children from seeing this very adult material, parents simply needed to keep the books and tapes out of their reach. Some people were even opposed to bringing porn into the home at all, because the plundersome children might stumble upon it.

However, the digital revolution has given children access to a nearly unlimited supply of pornographic material. A search engine query for “Internet Porn” will bring back thousands of websites featuring adult material. It’s even possible to tweak searches until they bring back only images or videos. Now a parent’s least worry is the child finding the nudey magazine between the mattresses, because more kids than ever are watching pornography.

Is it Illegal for Kids to Watch Porn

Anyone who knowingly provides pornographic materials to a minor is committing a crime. While the offense isn’t as serious as manufacturing porn starring minors, it’s a fairly serious offense in most countries. However, there aren’t really laws that are intended to punish the minor for watching pornography. This would be like pulling leaves from a tree, because it really wouldn’t do anything to address the real problem. The issue is the lack of control parents have when they permit their children to use the web. This is especially disturbing, because modern smartphones can visit all the sites that were once accessible only by laptop computers.

Can Kids Watch Porn on Smartphones

The short answer is yes, kids can watch a nearly unlimited amount of porn on an Apple iPhone or a Google Android phone. These devices provide an Internet experience which rivals that of a laptop. Worst of all, these phones can access the inappropriate material without a WiFi signal which even a laptop can’t do. This means a young child can ask to be excused to the bathroom in school and go watch an X-rated movie. However, the student will be subject to disciplinary action should he or she is caught.

There was once a time when teenagers wanted pagers, because cell phone service was so expensive. In those days, electronics at school were strictly prohibited, and any child with a pager or cell phone would have it confiscated. However, most parents give their children smartphones in case the child ever needs to make an emergency phone call. Most modern schools have done away with bans on cell phones increasing the chances of a kid watching porn at school.

Should Kids Watch Porn

Allegedly, the studios that produce porn do so for married couples. Pornographic videos are still referred to as marital aids, and it’s strictly prohibited from being distributed to minors. Pornography provides a thrill as does drinking alcohol or even smoking tobacco. These are thrills that should be reserved for adults, because there’s an important factor that children don’t understand. Everything should be experienced in moderation and young people lack the discretion to determine when enough is enough.

Asking do kids watch porn is is kind of a naive question. Teenagers (especially boys) are naturally obsessed with seeing the human form. Having sex is a natural part of life, and seeing it happen provides an undeniable thrill. However, younger people lack the maturity to differentiate between movies and reality. The actors and actresses within pornographic movies may shoot six or seven scenes a day. They have way more experience than the average citizen, so they will naturally perform better in bed. A young man expecting a fifteen year old girl to do the things that the porn starlet did is going to be seriously disappointed. Likewise, any fifteen year old girl who expects her young boyfriend to be as well endowed as the gentleman in the pornographic movies is in for a surprise. However, setting unrealistic standards isn’t the worst thing that pornography does to the children who watch it.

Pornography and Teen Pregnancy

Not only do the pornographic movies set an unrealistic precedence for the children, it contributes to pubescent promiscuity. In London, there are a lot of progressive steps being taken to prevent teenage pregnancy. However, teenage pregnancy continues to rise at an astronomical rate. While there have been no studies linking teenage pregnancy to watching porn, it would be irresponsible to act as though the two aren’t related. The sights and sounds of pornography will get a natural reaction from young boys and young girls. Unlike adults, teenagers lack the self control to determine when and where is a good time to be intimate. Kids who watch porn may be overwhelmed by their hormones, leading to more promiscuity.

It’s important to promiscuity that pornography did originate as a way to help married people in the bedroom. It’s only natural to become aroused when watching two people engaged in the throws of intimacy. However, teenagers are impulsive and they may go on to have unprotected sex if a condom isn’t readily available. There are a lot of people who are opposed to teaching children about sex, but the rising pregnancy rates suggests that they’re learning about it from Internet porn.

This is far worse than if they were to be taught about the dangers of having sex too early in a controlled environment. some people feel as though giving children condoms is like telling them it’s okay to have sex. However, the soaring teenage pregnancy rates suggest that they’re having sex anyway. Not giving children protection won’t prevent them from having sex, it only prevents them from having safe sex. It’s the equivalence to telling teen drivers not to wear a seatbelt, because you don’t want them to think it’s okay to get into an accident. There’s no way to monitor children at all times, so you have to educate them and hope they make the right decisions. However, a child who has been watching an endless supply of pornography will probably be overcome by an urge to live out what he or she has been seeing on the web.

There are also a lot of children who feel as though they need to broadcast their sexual exploits in an effort to impress their friends. This creates a lot of peer pressure upon both boys and girls to engage in activities that should be reserved for adults only. While teenage pregnancy has always been an issue, it’s far worse now than it ever was before. It’s difficult to strike a balance between giving the children access to the technology that they need without exposing them to the an unlimited amount of pornography. There are a few programs and apps that can restrict the sites that children can visit. However, most kids posses the technical savvy to simply bypass these programs and watch pornography anyway. The only way to truly combat the threat of kids watching porn is by educating them about all the things that can go wrong if they conceive a child too early. There’s also the threat of STD’s from children having unprotected sex. It’s very rare to see a pornographic movie where the male actor wears a condom. Children who get their sexual education from these movies will think this is the norm.
