Bullying Organizations You Might Want to Know of

Discover Bullying Organizations that will help you!

Each year 10-14 youth suicides are directly attributed to bullying -Bullied children are 6 times more likely to contemplate suicide than their non-bullied counterparts.

1 in 12 children are badly bullied to the point that it affects their education, relationships and even their prospects for jobs in later life.

These statistics are to show you just how bad it gets, and how necessary an intervention is. Even at cases where there is no physical abuse there still exists deep emotional distress, often permanent scarring and occasionally irreparable psychological damage.

That’s why it’s become vital to pay due attention to this conundrum, and take affirmative action once and for all. We might not be able to permanently eradicate all forms of bullying– but we can make sure that if it does happen; it won’t be disregarded or belittled.

Fortunately, there are now a number of prominent organizations based in the UK, which are making this happen; and giving hope to victims that it does get better, and that there is a silver lining to every cloud.

Bullying Organizations: Kidscape

Kidscape is the first charity in the UK established specifically to prevent bullying and child sexual abuse; and committed to keep children safe from all its’ forms. They work with children and young people under the age of 16, their parents/care-takers, and those who work with them

Based mainly in the UK, and aiming to provide individuals and organizations with practical skills and resources necessary to keep children safe from harm. The Kidscape staff equips vulnerable children with practical non-threatening knowledge and skills in how to keep themselves safe and reduce the likelihood of future harm.

Kidscape offers:

Helpline offering support and advice to parents of bullied children.

Booklets, literature, posters, training guides and educational videos on bullying, child protection, and parenting.

A national comprehensive training programme on child safety and behaviour management issues.

Advice for Parents & CarersProfessionals and Young People themselves.

Confidence building sessions for children who are bullied.

Bullying Organizations: The Pacer organization

Founded in 2006, PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center unites, engages, and educates communities nationwide to address bullying through creative, relevant, and interactive resources. PACER’s bullying prevention resources are designed to benefit all students, including students with disabilities. PACER offers digital-based resources for parents, schools, teens and youth, including: This is the portal page for parents and educators to access bullying resources, which include educational toolkits, awareness toolkits, contest ideas, promotional products and more.

PACERTeensAgainstBullying: Created by and for teens, this website is a place for middle and high school students to find ways to address bullying, to take action, to be heard, and to own an important social cause.

PACERKidsAgainstBullying: A creative, innovative and educational website designed for elementary school students to learn about bullying prevention, engage in activities and be inspired to take action.

Bullying Organizations: National bullying hotline

The national bullying hotline is a privately run, nationally recognized, advice centre specializing in conflict resolution- conflict resolution may seem a long way from bullying resolving; but they do offer a helpline for abused kids, as well as advice and assistance for those in need.

This helpline and website is hosted and funded by HR & Diversity Management Limited and is run by volunteers; it is no longer a charitable organization, but their website does offer good tips and advice regarding bullying in general beside their children’s’ helpline.

These are just three of many highly competent establishments; all you need is to Google, and they’ll be more than willing to lend a hand- in order to end bullying there has to be a collaborative effort!
